1. Maison Boulud

The Ritz-Carlton’s restaurant is a must for people looking to have a good meal in a beautiful setting. You can enjoy lobster en brioche, house smoked salmon or chef Riccardo Bertolino’s Florentine eggs. The brunch-style dishes can be combined with lunch dishes, such as the fish of the day or the burger made with homemade bread. Don’t forget to taste the absolutely delicious desserts. Regardless of the time of day chosen to eat there, this restaurant always stands out by the quality of its products and its distinctive homemade touch, making it a choice destination for foodies. It’s best to make a reservation.

2. Le Renoir (Hotel Sofitel Montreal, Le Carré Doré)

Are you in the mood for a copious and delicious brunch? Le Renoir restaurant, in the chic Sofitel, offers an all-youcan-eat buffet with oysters, prime rib, Bellevue salmon, a dessert trolley and mini pastries concocted by the talented chef Roland Del Monte (winner of the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France competition). The dishes change according to the season and to the selection of executive chef Olivier Perret. Le Renoir offers brunch specials for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter and Christmas. Every Sunday, there are two sittings: at 11:00 a.m. and at 1:30 p.m. There are approximately one hundred seats indoors and 55 on the nice patio.

3. Le Richmond

Le Richmond no longer requires an introduction. In addition to its lunch and dinner menus, the restaurant offers delicious brunches year-round, as well as themed brunches for special occasions (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter). As a starter, choose between a citrus carpaccio, prosciutto and cantaloupe, or charcuterie platter. Next, enjoy scrambled eggs or gravlax or prosciutto eggs benedict. The meal ends beautifully with the delightful caramel budino. Saturdays and Sundays as of 11:00 a.m.

4. Arthur’s Nosh Bar

If you’re looking for an original and affordable brunch, this restaurant is the place to go. Co-owners Alexandre Cohen and Raegan Steinberg, respectively of Moroccan and East European origin, created the menu by drawing inspiration from their countries’ culinary cultures. This results in, among other things, Shallah French Toast, Moroccan toast, and oven-cooked eggs with house Merguez sausages, which are absolutely irresistible. To go with the meal, cocktails specially designed for brunches are offered. There are 42 seats indoors and 22 on the patio. Brunch is offered Saturdays and Sundays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

5. Être Avec Toi (Ê.A.T, Hôtel W)

Nestled in the historic Bank of Canada building, the Hotel W offera festive brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to the sound of DJ Donald Lauture. Try the lobster benedict ($22) or the maple sugar shack menu ($22). You won’t regret it! When the mimosa trolley comes by your table, we suggest you taste the drink that has become the restaurant’s signature product, offered in various flavours, much to the delight of gourmets.

6. Leméac Restaurant

This Outremont bistro offers a gourmet brunch on Saturdays, Sundays and holiday Mondays. Its smoked salmon and Mujold caviar blini has become a classic. Those who prefer more traditional dishes will turn to the omelettes, French toast, sausage, bacon and baked beans or the gravlax. Leméac offers excellent morning cocktails, with or without alcohol, to set the mood.
