Le Montréal du Futur®: For Urban Design Enthusiasts

Montreal is a dynamic city that’s constantly evolving, with many real estate developments either in the works or recently completed. The city has seen many tall condo buildings spring up of late, with mixed developments responding to housing, office and commercial needs. Taking its many stakeholders into account, the Ville de Montréal is looking to the future now more than ever. This year’s biennial architecture and urban design exhibition will showcase an innovative, sustainable and inclusive city.

Located in the heart of the city, Le Montréal du Futur® will present infrastructure and real estate developments that are already shaping the city of today and tomorrow. It attracts architecture enthusiasts, engaged citizens and anyone with an interest in urban design. This year, in partnership with the Ville de Montréal, Preta Group and Mach Group, the event will showcase some of the city’s more well-known buildings. It will emphasize innovation and emerging practices, including new technologies like artificial intelligence and renewable energy, which will serve the city and its residents. The conference will also discuss how we can leverage collaborative governance, social inclusion and sustainable development to make Montreal a better city.

It’s a unique opportunity to see scale models and video presentations of the many infrastructure and building projects that are taking place at the institutional, government, commercial and residential levels. Attendees can also meet key real estate and business stakeholders involved in Montreal’s urban and economic development: real estate associations, developers, architecture firms, law firms, brokers, banks, contractors, engineers, consulting groups and more.

The mission of Le Montréal du Futur® is to bring together city residents, businesses and government representatives to explore the challenges and opportunities linked to Greater Montreal’s future. By promoting discussion, the event aims to foster further community engagement and collaboration—encouraging citizens to become agents of change by getting involved in their city and participating in local initiatives.

Since it was created in 2006, the event has always been a great success with both the public and stakeholders from the real estate industry and complementary business sectors. Thousands of people are expected to attend this year’s exhibition.
